6.55.1. Installation of Sysklogd

The following patch fixes various issues, including a problem building Sysklogd with Linux 2.6 series kernels

patch -Np1 -i ../sysklogd-1.4.1-fixes-1.patch

Compile the package:

make

Install the package:

make install

6.55.2. Configuring Sysklogd

Create a new /etc/syslog.conf file by running the following:
