The things you mention seem important only if you're not using a
validating editor -- that is, if you're not using an editor that knows
which elements are valid where, and allows you to enter the elements
by choosing them from a pull-down menu or something, or by typing a
short keystroke combination if you're in a non-windowing environment.

If you're not using a validating editor to author SGML/XML documents,
aren't you making things unecessarily more difficult for yourself --
regardless of which DTD you use, or how simple the DTD is meant to be?
